Defending a person who insulted Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)

Q: If someone says that it's not munasib (suitable) to insult so and so person whilst so and so person insulted Hazrat Sayyidul 'Aalam صلى الله عليه وسلم than what would mufti saheb say to such a person? Either to defend the truth or to show him the extreme wrong his doing?

A: Obviously, if someone is going to insult you or your parents you will feel offended. And in defending your parents' integrity you are going to say something. Whose integrity can be greater than the integrity of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)? He is far above your parents and all the people of the world. Hence, to defend his integrity is not a privilege, it is an obligation.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
