Effect on ibaadat if a person unknowingly eats haraam

Q: If a person eats Haraam food unknowingly while thinking it's Halaal, will their ibadat still not be accepted for 40 days? 

A: If he made sincere taubah, Allah Ta`ala will forgive him. He should take all the precautions for the future. If it was haraam because it was acquired incorrectly then he should reimburse the person. 

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
