Q: A family will be going to perform hajj from Pakistan. They will do qurbani for the hajj in sha Allah. Do they need to perform another qurbani that all other Muslims perform on eid?
A: If they will be musaafir during the days of qurbaani, then the yearly qurbaani will not be compulsory upon them.
However, if they will not be musaafir during that time, then apart from the damm-e-shukr (animal that will have to be slaughtered by a haaji who is doing tamattu or qiraan hajj), it will also be compulsory upon them to slaughter their normal qurbaani.
They may get it slaughtered in Makkah Mukarramah or they may appoint someone to carry out the qurbaani on their behalf in their hometown during the days of qurbaani.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
