Unconscious Person Entering into Ihraam

Q: If a person leaves home with the intention of performing hajj or umrah, but when the time comes for him to enter into ihraam, he is unconscious, then how will such a person enter ihraam?

A: The person with whom he is traveling should make the intention of entering into ihraam on his behalf.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

ومن أغمي فأهل عنه رفقاؤه جاز عند أبي حنيفة رحمه الله تعالى وقالا لا يجوز ولو أمر إنسانا بأن يحرم عنه إذا أغمي عليه أو نام فأحرم المأمور عنه صح بالإجماع حتى لو أفاق أو استيقظ وأتى بأفعال الحج جاز كذا في الهداية ولا يلزم النائب التجرد عن المخيط حال إحرامه عن المغمى عليه كذا في البحر الرائق (الفتاوى الهندية 1/235)

ولو أهل عنه رفيقه بإغمائه صح (كنز الدقائق صـ 231)
