Q: I provided and fitted blinds for the municipality for R100 000. However, they are not paying me despite several claims. I have lost how of receiving payment. Can I use municipal water for this value in lieu of the debt? I fill my tanks at night from a municipal line at night without getting billed.
A: If you regain your haq in this way, it will not be haraam.
