Performing Maghrib before entering Muzdalifah

Q: Can a person perform Maghrib Salaah at the time of Maghrib, before entering the borders of Muzdalifah?

A: No, on this day, he cannot perform the Maghrib Salaah in the Maghrib time, before he enters Muzdalifah.

If he performs the Maghrib Salaah in the Maghrib time, before entering Muzdalifah (or after entering Muzdalifah), he will be sinful and he will have to repeat the Maghrib Salaah in Muzdalifah after the time of Esha enters.

However, if one did not repeat the Maghrib Salaah in Muzdalifah in the time of Esha, until the time of subah saadiq commenced, then one will not have to repeat the Maghrib Salaah later on. Nevertheless, one will remain sinful for not performing the salaah in the prescribed time which Shari’ah has commanded on this occasion.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
