Q: I wanted to find out, I had my monthly cycle on the 6 January and ended on the 10 January then again started bleeding on the 20 January and ended on the 24 January and now I am bleeding again from the 5 February which ended yesterday and all of a sudden today I started bleeding fresh again. Is it considered a period or a sickness? Can I still continue reading Salaah and Quraan?
A: The principle of Shariah is that the least clean period between two haiz is fifteen days. Hence, any spotting or bleeding seen before fifteen days from the end of the last period will be regarded as istihaazah.
In your situation you should revert to your previous habit of tuhar and haiz before you started experiencing this irregular bleeding and then follow that habit.
