Q: A girl goes for umrah and puts on ihraam in haiz then she's going to be in haiz till she leaves so she gives Damm and comes out of ihraam.
Few years later she makes another Umrah but doesn't make niyyah of qadha. Will her qadha umrah be counted?
If she's going for hajj this year can she make the umrah as the qadha umrah and put on a separate ihraam for hajj and make ifraad hajj?
If she makes ifraad hajj does she still have to make a Damm shukr?
If she doesn't have to make a Damm shukar but another damm is compulsory on her can she make niyyah for that damm instead?
A: If she gives the damm while she is present in Makkah Mukarramah, (i.e. she slaughters a goat or sheep in the precincts of the haram with the intention of coming out of ihraam while she is in Makkah Mukarramah) the damm will not suffice and she will not come out of ihraam.
She will have to redo the damm after reaching her hometown by appointing someone in Makkah Mukarramah to slaughter a damm on her behalf in the precincts of the haram. After the animal is slaughtered, she will come out of ihraam.
She will have to make qadha of the umrah she missed.
When going for hajj this year, if she makes the niyyat of qadha for the umrah she missed and when the days of hajj come, she enters into the ihraam of ifraad hajj, since she made umrah in the months of hajj (even though it is a qadha umrah), she will not be a mufrid (one doing an ifraad hajj) but rather she will be a mutamatti (one doing a mutamatti hajj) and thus she will have to slaughter a damm e shukr for the tamattu hajj.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
