Q: There is a verse in the Qur'aan to this effect: "Are you waiting that the angels come to you or your Rabb comes to you or that some of the signs of your Rabb come to you. The day some of the signs of your Rabb come a souls Imaan will not benefit it."
Can you please explain this verse to me.
A: This verse is referring to death overcoming a person or the punishment of Allah Ta‘ala overcoming him. At that time it will be too late for one to make tawbah and reform his life.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
