Q: Is it permissible to do an event or activities or participate on days that are dedicated to something, such as world book day, national thank a teacher day etc, if the event is permissible and you do not intend to celebrate but to participate by doing something? Does it depend on intention?
A: These are all unislamic events. A believer should not participate in any anti Islamic event, as he will be supporting and promoting the kuffaar traditions and customs.
