Q: My mother gave me gold jewellery. If zakaat applied on me, who would pay it? As I am not earning and dependent on my father, will he pay it or my mother or I should pay it from my bank savings?
A: Since you have your own savings, you will pay for your own zakaat.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
