Q: I have a question regarding Surah Jinn. When the Jinns heard the Quran e Paak they accepted Islam and they went back to their nation and started Tableeq among them. Which Surah or portion of the Quran-e-Paak they heard? Was it Surah Rahman?
A: The commentators of Quraan have presented two opinions, some say it was surah Alaq and others say that it was surah Ar-Rahman.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
واختلف فيما استمعوه فقال عكرمة اقرأ باسم ربك وقيل سورة الرحمن (روح المعاني 15/ 95)
