Eating from KFC and McDonalds in Muslim countries

Q:

1. Are we allowed to eat meat from food outlets such as KFC, McDonalds and other local outlets in Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Turkey?

2. Also, when eating from a local outlet is it ok to trust the individual if he says the food is halal?

3. Also, I have contacted Delphin Hotel in Turkey, Antalya regarding if their meat is halal or not and they replied by saying that they produce their own meat which is cut according to shariah slaughter and I asked for proof and they sent me a video showing how the meat was cut and it seemed legitimate, they also said that if I was to come to the hotel they will show me how the processes in their slaughterhouse, is it permissible to trust them?

Staying away from doubtful meat

Q: I would like to enquire whether we can trust MJC and NIHT. Reason being there seems to be a lot of doubt with these as compared to SANHA. It makes me wonder how all the meat supplied to Mc Donalds and KFC can be halaal as there is a lot of animals that would be slaughtered and to slaughter an animal in compliance with shariah takes more time and care so how do we know that these animals are being slaughtered accordingly?

Eating at haraam outlets

Q: I study in China and I have a lot of difficulties in eating food and deciding between Halal and Haraam. I want to ask you to please clarify me somethings.

1. Can we eat chicken or beef at International Brands like KFC, McDonalds etc.?

2. Are the flavored crisps like Lays BBQ flavor halal or haraam? Please help me in this regard.

Eating in a restaurant wherein alcohol is served

Q: If I eat halaal food like fish in a Christian owned restaurant where they also sell liquor, do you think this food would be halaal? Another question is that the place where I stay there are KFC and McDonalds, they proclaim themselves to be halaal because they got some official documents of halaal certifications. So should we believe them as Halaal or what's the procedure now?
