1. How many rakaats must be read?

2. Is it Sunnat, Fard, Nafl etc?

Q: Will I receive the reward of tahaujjd if I perform nafil Salaah after esha before retiring to bed with the intention of tahajjud?

Q: Whatever we pray after tahajjud, is our prayer accepted? What are the benefits of tahajjud prayer?

Q: What is the difference between Qiyaamul Layl and Tahajjud? Is it necessary to sleep before offering Tahajjud or can one perform it immediately after Esha?

Q: In a book I acquired in 1978 called kitaab-us salaah printed by the young men's Muslim association which has been my guide ever since. I have now recently discovered the performance of Salaatul lail which is not mentioned in this book nor have I performed it previously. Can Mufti please throw some light on this.

Q: If one started to perform tahajud salaah, suddenly he remembered he was impure. Does one need to make kazaa for the same?
