Reciting Surah Jumuah on a Friday
Q: Is it sunnah to recite Surah Jumuah on Fridays? Should we avoid it completely?
Q: Is it sunnah to recite Surah Jumuah on Fridays? Should we avoid it completely?
Q: Is it sunnah to perform ghusl on Friday for women as well (women not going to go to the Friday prayer)?
If it is not, then does it make a difference whether a women does ghusl on Friday or not? Some people are afraid that if women stop doing ghusl on that day, then the tradition of doing so will eventually come to a halt.
Q:
1. On the day of jumuah, after the first azan, can I still have a bath and thereafter proceed to the masjid? Or should I just suffice on wudhu?
2. Which azan should I consider, the azan of my masjid which is a little later, or the azan of the jami masjid of my area which is earlier?
Q: I have been reading Surah Kahaf on the eve of Friday (ie. before the time of Fajr). However I have been informed that Surah Kahaf should be read after sunrise on a Friday. Is this correct and is there any Hadith to substantiate this?
Q: I wanted to ask regarding a woman having a bath on Friday but not attending the Jumuah Salaah. As far as I know the Friday bath is mustahab for those attending Jumuah Salaah only, but it's commonly thought that women who pray at home should still have a bath on Fridays as it is regarded as a Sunnah. Is this true? Please could you let me know the exact ruling for women.
