Washing one's head when a lizard falls on oneself
Q: Please explain the logic in this. A lizard fell on my mom, then my grandma told my mom to wash her head, then only can she perform Salah, otherwise it's not permissible, is that correct?

Q: Can we take an oath by the name of Allah not to think of someone? Is it acceptable as an oath or not?

Leaving unwashed dishes in the basin at night
Q: I heard that when dishes are kept unwashed in the basin at night time (in the kitchen), then two things happen: 1- shaitan comes there and puts his mouth in the dishes 2- the dishes make bad-dua for us is it true? Please guide in the light of teachings of our religion.

1) Maine suna hai jab kisi ka inteqal ho jata hai to uski rooh 40 din tak ghar me aati jaati rehti hai ,isliye ghar me"arhar aur masoor ki daal" nahi pakni chahiye kyuki iske paakne se rooh ghar me nahi aati.Kya yeh sahi baat hai?
2) Jume ki raat ko roohe chode jaati hai aur wo apne bete aur betiyon ke ghar aati hai isliye "arhar aur masoor ki daal" nahi paakani chahiye kyuki isse roohe unke ghar nahi aati.
3)Roohe kin khane ki cheezo se ghar nahi aati?

Q: Are 'gadats' which are commonly performed in (cape town , south africa) part of our Islamic religion and is it mentioned in the Quran. Is it a good thing? A Sunnah? Will one benefit from taking part in these 'gadats'? We also refer to these 'gadats' as 'thikrs'. Is gadats and thikr the same thing? What is the difference? What about the 3,7,40,100day (gadat) ceremonies for the deceased?

Q: I just wanted to ask on behalf of a relative if a woman becomes a widow and her husband leaves behind money, land and property, is she not allowed in Islam to spend anything, money/inheritance for a year after the husbands death?
