Formal dress code for nikaah

Q: What is the correct dress code for a bridegroom at his nikah? Is it mandotary for him to be dressed formally? ie. with a waist coat, formal
shoes, collared kurta. etc. Or is it preffered that he dresses neatly in Islamic attire, for example with just a kurta, turban, and normal non-formal shoes?

Baseless customs

Q:

  1. My question is that here in India during marriage or engagement the guests give money in the hand or in a envelope to the bride or groom and their parents, grand parents and it is thought bad about some one who does not give anything.
  2. Also before marriage when rishta (the relation ) is finalised then the relatives of both parties give some money to the bride and groom saying that this has to be given to see one another for the first time.

Secret nikaah

Q: I am currently engaged to a certain girl. We are completely in love with each other and go out together all the time. To save ourselves from Haraam we want to make nikah asap. However our parents are very adamant that we are still young and the nikah should be made 2 years from now, and they dont mind the Zina that is taking place. My plan is to make a secret nikah now and 2 years later I will have a normal nikah in the musjid. However, I heard a Mufti saying that this way of secret nikah and then open nikah later on is not permissible because it is haraam to make a 2nd nikah with the same lady again, it is playing around with Allah's Deen, is this true?
