1. A Non-Muslim married couple who were married from before, after reverting to Islam, is it compulsory for the couple to do Nikah again?
2. In the above situation, after accepting Islam, if its compulsory to do Nikah again, is mahr (dowry) compulsory?

Q: I am engaged but I am unclear about the boys deeni committments. I think he doesn't know much about deen as he says that he is a simple Muslim and thats it.
