Taking pictures of oneself while covering one's face
Q: Is it permissible to take pictures of yourself when your face is covered?
Q: Is it permissible to take pictures of yourself when your face is covered?
Q: I have a question concerning video games. There is this certain video game in whilst playing the game (when attacking the enemy) the screen shows it from an aerial view so you cannot the any eyes or anything so it is not an animate object whereas to choose your character there are animate objects. I really want to play the game. Is it permissible to play this game?
Q: Is it permissable for an artist to draw faces without eyes?
Q: Is 4D scans permissible or not for diagnostic purposes?
Q: Is it fine if I make youtube videos?
Q: I want to ask whether taking a picture with a camera is allowed as it only remains in the computer or camera and does not have a physical form. Will such a picture also be included in the prohibition mentioned in the Hadith regarding picture making?
Q: While I read your ruling on Digital photography, maulana of almost all sects like Deobandi, Barelvi, Gair Muqallid, Shia or Ahle Sunnat Waljamat are getting their speeches and are aired on TV or You Tube etc. Maulana Tariq Jameel and Maulana Saad are the prominent Deobandi maslak Maulanas in this respect. Are they indulging in Haraam? Shall we not watch them?
Q: You may have heard of brother Mu'adh Khan from UK (aka Colonel). He has connection with Deobandi Ulama and is mostly well regarded. His latest idea or fad (call it what you will) is to do a TV Documentary on Deobandis in light of the media attack on Deobandis in the UK. He says he needs to do something for the Ummah right now and has requested sisters to come forward who wish to speak on camera. On his Twitter account he is moaning to Muftis that he can't get hold of any women for the documentary. Surely a TV programme involving at least the voice and possibly the face of a ghayr mahram is impermissible or am I missing some Fiqh that the self-styled scholar has tapped in to? Is this not a case of using batil means to spread the Haq?
Q: I wish to know what Islam says regarding digital photography. I hear that some scholars regard it as permissible arguing that it is totally different from a normal picture due to it having more resemblance with the reflection of a mirror. Based on this, it is permissible for one to capture digital photos of animate objects and store them on one’s phone. Is this viewpoint correct?
Could you please clarify the issue for me and explain the correct Islamic viewpoint on this matter to me, as well as provide me with the answers to the arguments of those who claim that digital photography is permissible?
I would appreciate if you could also explain the view of the four Imaams regarding photography.
Q: I wanted to know that I have a costly 3D sculpture of a horse in my drawing room. It's carved in a single colour. Please confirm whether it is permissible to keep it with me or not?
