Company me invest karna

Q: Ek investment company he jisme invest karne se monthly 10 to 17 percent benefit milega invest kiye huve main amount ke hisab se. Masĺam mene 50,000 invest kiya to muje 10 percent ya 17 percent monthly munafa milega 50,000 ko chodke. Wo keh rahe he ke ye sood ka paisa nahi he, ye halal ka paisa he, wo kehte he ki company halal business karti he, jo benefit milta he wo investors ko 10 to 17 percent ke hisab se munafa deti he. Ab mera sawal sirf itna he, agar wo company wale jhoot bolke hame halal ke bajaye haraam ka paisa dete he to, ye paisa mere liye halal rahega ya haram?

Investing in a company that is partnered with a company that deals in haraam

Q: I had a question regarding finance in islam, specifically investing in cryptocurrencies. I understand that it is only halal to invest in companies that do not deal with any haram acts such as interest or alcohol. However, I was curious to know, if company A, for example, is completely halal in its goals but is partnered with company B that is not halal such as a banking company, is it still halal to invest in company A?

I had a friend call a local sheikh who stated that it is halal to invest in company A since the goal of the company itself, for example to build an education platform, is completely halal even though company A is partnered with company B that is not halal. I just wanted to verify this information with another sheikh to put my mind at peace since I do still have some small amount of doubt.

Investing in prize bonds

Q: My question is regarding the bonds that can be acquired from the state bank of the country and used as an investment tool by different people. The different bonds are worth from 100 Rupees to 40000 RS. then people wait for the draw to take place, once the draw takes place if your bond number is in the list you will get the prize money, otherwise you can get your money back by returning the bond to the bank. I want to know whether investment in these bonds are Halal or Haram. Is the prize money halal or haram?

Investing in a friends business

Q: Six months ago my businessman friend approached me and told me that he has got a big order from his customer but he doesn’t have enough money to fulfill his order. So he asked me to invest 1 million in his business so that he can complete the order and he would pay me a profit from this order in proportionate to my investment which is around 0.4 million. Order was confirmed and payment was secured. Is this halal for me?

Being an agent for a company whose dealings are unclear

Q: Zaid has invested Bakr’s money in one ABC Group of Companies. ABC Group has given Zaid commission on Bakr's investment. ABC Group has provided Zaid with the title of Sales and Marketing agent where his work is to just convince & collect investment from people for ABC Group. ABC Group does not pay any salary to Zaid but pays commission on the amount of investment collected per month from people. ABC Group has appointed thousands of Sales and Marketing agents/executives like Zaid to collect investment. These Agents have no record or idea of amount of investment being dumped in ABC Group. On contrary if any agent questions this to ABC Group he is terminated from his position. Their work is to spread the word given by ABC Group without questioning on public or private forum. ABC Group has formed no. of different Companies under its umbrella and shows some physical assets & its operation to agents and investors. But when we check the Audit report & Balance sheet of these companies from related Government Department we clearly find that paid up capital is almost nothing against the amount being collected. We find that profit & loss statements are false & not even equal 1% of profit what is actually being distributed to investors. Zaid & Bakr have no clarification for this.

Further to convince and attract more and more investors ABC group is occasionally inviting such non-Muslims film actors and actress who are famous for their vulgarity in Movies and TV Serials. Agents and investors both know it very well.

Question:

1. The commission amount what Zaid & other agents/executive gets from ABC Group is Halaal or Haram?

2. The profit amount what investors are getting from ABC Group is Halaal or Haraam?

Bequest for heirs

Q: We are in the process of winding up my father's estate, who passed away a couple of years ago, and are unclear on a specific scenario we have picked up.

My father had a number of investment policies which were registered under his name but, as required with most investments, had listed certain individuals as beneficiaries in the event of his death. The beneficiaries he listed were his wife and some of his children (so the people that naturally would qualify to inherit from his estate in any case).

The question I have around this is, according to Islamic law, should the person listed on the investment as beneficiary inherit the payout or should the investment be included in the estate and the total from the estate be distributed according to the Islamic law of succession and inheritance?

I hope I have provided sufficient detail to enable you to make an informed decision.
