Doubtful Foods & Drinks

Ordering prawns for a friend

Q: How do we handle differences of opinion, what should be done in the following scenario: If I'm ordering a takeaway and I order like a chicken curry and the other person wants a prawn curry, is it haram for me to order it when they believe it's halal? Is it also wrong to pass them the prawn curry? Also if someone follows the opinion that commercial vinegar is haram (when it's changed purposely) is it wrong for them to ask for condiments for other person on their food (like mayonnaise on a burger, when mayonnaise, ketchup etc. usually contains vinegar)? Please explain how we should deal with the situations like above. Do you refuse to order prawns which may cause hostility? (I don't mind hostility if it's the correct thing to do!) Thank you.

Doubts with regards to the ingredients in the noodles

Q: During dinner in my hostel Chinese noodles were being served and even chapati was being served. The guy who serves the noodles serves the chapati too. So my question is will the chapati be haram and napak if that noodles had ajinomoto in it? I don't know whether they add ajinomoto to it or not and even if they add it may also be halaal but I don't know whether they used it or not and even after eating the chapatii with curry my mouth got oily and I drank lots of water and I cleaned the lips and that area for like 10 to 12 times without a single drop of that water falling on me but again sometime later I felt oily on my lips so I ignored it and rubbed it with my hands and touched my pants so am I pure?

Vanilla extract

Q: I want to know if vanilla extract ingredient is halaal. I heard vanilla is made from alcohol. So if this is true then can we consume ice creams or other things that have vanilla as ingredient.

Chewing gum

Q: Is chewing gum halaal or haraam? I have come to know that chewing gum is made up of pig fat. So I want to know from you that what is the Islamic ruling on this?
