Q: A brother made intention to spend the last 10 days of Ramadhaan for i'tikāf. On the second day, due to a person passing away in his family (non-Muslim) his dad wanted him to leave his i'tikāf because he (his dad) had to go to the deceased's home and it would take a few days for him to return. So his dad wanted him to break his i'tikaf to look after his home and animals (pets). The brother had no choice but to break his i'tikaf on the second day.
1. How does he have to do qadhaa of his i'tikaf?
2. He intends to do qadhaa of his i'tikaf this Ramadhaan Insha Allah so will the fast in Ramadhaan suffice for him to keep his i'tikaf or does he have to keep fast outside of Ramadhaan to make up his qadhaa.

Q: May the sunnah i'tikaaf in Ramadhan be held in a facility which accommodates and facilitates the 5 times salaah, including the jumuah salaahs. This is presently a musallah which caters for the residents in the area, over 300 Muslim homes. Consent dues have been granted already for the musallah to continue, alhamdulillah. The nearest masjid is about 4 Kms away which has a limited space for the mu'takifeen. Kindly advise if we could hold the sunnah i'tikaaf for the musallees of the area?
Q: A person is making i'tikaaf in the Musjid. I know it will not be keeping to the spirit of i'tikaaf for him to play with his cellphone in the Musjid or make unnecessary calls. However, will it be permissible for him to use the cellphone for some important need?
Q: Can a person come out of the musjid to perform a sunnah wudhu while in sunnah I'tikaaf?
Q: A person who is submitted to dialisis 2 to 3 times a week can not fast. Can he still sit in the sunnah i'tikaaf? Keep in mind that he will also have to leave the masjid when going to the hospital. He could go straight to the hospital and return on the shortest route possible.
Q: My question is regarding this year ramadaan. I intend on spending the sunnah ithikaaf in musjid un nabawi (17th-27th July - According to the saudi calendar). I would like to know if my ithikaaf would be valid if I leave on the eve of eid from Madinah and arrive in South Africa on the 28th, just to find that South Africa would be fasting on the 28th and celebrating eid on the 29th.What should I do in this regard? From calculations, its seems that the above scenario is most likely to occur?
Q: When one is sitting in itikaaf can one go for ghusal to cool of or the Friday sunnah gusl? If yes for Sunnah gusl than what if the gusl khana is not near the wudu khana; its upstairs. Can one go for ghsal upstairs?
