Q: With reference to Surah Yusuf (alahis salaam), is it correct for a person working with Public Funds (Government, NGO's etc.) to give preference to his Needy Family Relatives? Q: I am a UK tax payer and donate to charities. These charities state that they have a 100% donation policy. I tick the gift aid box so the government contributed as well. This money from the government is used for admin costs and salaries by some charities. Is this permissible, as the government donates the money on the understanding that it will be used exclusively for the respective charity and not for admin costs?

Q: Alhamdulilliah I am employed and in addition to my annual zakaat I make a point of giving away at least 10 percent of my money in additional sadaqah. However I am a bit confused at this point. I would like to start saving more than I currently in order to get married and go for haj Inshallah. I know that sadaqah does not decrease wealth.
Should I continue to give the same amount as sadaqah or should I decrease a bit in order to increase my savings for these sorts of things.
