Q: Can a Sunni girl marry a Shi’a boy? He does not believe that Ali (radhiyallahu anhu) was the next prophet nor does he place more importance to him, they believe in Allah and that Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is the last messenger. They also follow the same Qur’an and have respect for all the other companions and family of the Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
Q: I have recently been in a difficult situation to figure out if a marriage between a Sunni girl and Shia guy is allowable?
I have done a lot of research on this and on each other’s aqaid please enlighten me with your knowledge.
Q: I try to study comparative studies of different sects of Muslims. I’ve read your answers about Shias on the website where you have stated that shias are kafir. Kindly consider my following questions and answer please.
1. Are shias or anyone who have hatred in their hearts for Rightly guided caliphs or he/she criticize them are kafir?
2. Does anyone who speaks ill about Umm ul Momineen makes him/her kaafir?
3. If answer for above questions is YES, then why do our Muhadditheen narrated from them prophetic narrations? (Ubayd Allah bin Musa al-Absi, Abbad bin Yaqub al-Rawajini & Abd al-Malik bin Ayan al-Kufi and more)
4. Is it allowed to narrate from kaafir whether he/she is truthful?
5. Do we have any narration in our Sihah books or other books of Ahadeeth narrated from any non-muslim except shias?
Q: I have a best friend who is a Shia and I am a Sunni though I’ve always been told by others not to trust Shias. A couple of months ago this boy I know started being very Islamophobic to me saying Islam is a cult and that I hate Jews which I do not and he called me a terrorist and some stuff about Isis etc. He has not once apologised and he is a kaafir. Recently I’ve had to find out from my peers that my best friend who is a Shia has been dating this same boy secretly whilst knowing what he’s done to me. She has touched a male before but not intercourse with a male, she then lied to me, multiple times and ignored me when she admitted that she has been dating this guy. I then out of anger said some horrible things and told others, whilst she has not apologised what should I do? Islamically what advice would you give me?
س: میرا مسلک "سنی - اہل حدیث" ہے . لڑکے کے والد اور والدہ دونوں کا مسلک "اہل سنت والجماعت بَریلوِی" ہے . لڑکے خود بھی "اہل سنت والجماعت بَریلوِی" ہے . وہ نماز ادا کرنے کے ، روزہ رکھنے / افطار کرنے کے اوقات اور طریقہ عین بَریلوِی مسلک کے مطابق ہیں . وہ خلافت راشدہ ، امہات المومنین ، صحابہ کرام اور اہل البیت ان سب کے دراجاات اور ان سب کی عزت پر پابند ہے بَریلوِی مسلک کے مطابق . وہ حضرت علی (رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ) کو چوتھا خلیفہ مانتا ہے ، اور اِس بات کا اقرار کرتا ہے .
وہ لاہور کے بہت بڑے سافٹ ویئر ہاؤس میں مینجر ہے . اِس سے پہلے وہ جس کمپنی میں تھا اس میں میں بھی تھی . میں نے 2 سال اس کے ساتھ نوکری کی ہے . مْجھے کام دیتا تھا ، اور میں اس کو ڈائریکٹ رپورٹ کرتی تھی . میں نے اس میں ایسی کوئی باتیں نہیں دیکهیں جو شیعہ میں ہوتی ہیں . جیسا کے نا ہی اس کو کڑے پہنے دیکھا ، نا ہی کوئی انگوٹھیاں پہنے دیکھا ، نا ہی کوئی دھاگے پہنے دیکھا ، نا ہی گلے میں کچھ پہنے دیکھا . آفس میں ایک جگہ نماز ادا کرنے کے لیے مختص تھی .میں نے اس کو باجماعت نماز ادا کرتے بھی دیکھا ہے اور اکیلے بھی نماز ادا کرتے دیکھا ہے . اس کا ایک بھی طریقہ میرے مسلک کی نماز ادا کرنے کے طریقے سے مختلف نہیں ہے . وہ 9 محرم اور 10 محرم اپنے گھر میں گزارتا ہے . 10 محرم کو وہ اور اس کے گھر واالے گھر میں کافی سارا کهانا پکاتے ہیں ، جیسا کہ حلیم یا چاول . اور یہ پکا کے محلے میں اور غریبوں میں تقسیم کرتے ہیں . اِس کے علاوہ نا ہی وہ شیعہ کے مجالس میں جاتے ہیں ، اور نا ہی ماتم کرتے ہیں .
1- کیا میں اس سے شادی کر سکتی ہو ؟
2- کیا درج ذیل یقین رکھنے والا انسان شیعہ ہو سکتا ہے ؟ میرے والد صاحب کو یہ گمان ہے کے وہ لڑکا شیعہ ہے . اور یہ گمان ان کو اِس وجہ سے ہوا کیوں کے انہوں نے اس کی فیس بک پروفائل پہ 2 احادیث کا حوالہ دیکھا . وہ 2 احادیث یہ ہیں ;
1- مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلاهُ، فَهذا عَلِىٌّ مَوْلاهُ
2- حسين مني وأنا من حسين
اگر اس نے یہ احادیث جو کے اس کے مسلک کے مطابق مستند ہیں ، اپنی فیس بک پروفائل پہ لگائیں تو اِس سے کیا وہ لڑکا شعیہ ثابت ہوتا ہے ؟
اہل حدیث مسلک کے مطابق یہ احادیث مستند احادیث ہیں یا کمزور احادیث ہیں ؟
فتویٰ لیتے وقت اِس بات کو زیرِغور رکھا جائے کہ میری شدید خواہش ہے اس سے شادی کرنے کی . میں اپنے والد صاحب کو یہ واضح کرنا چاہتی ہوں کے بَریلوِی مسلک کے لڑکے سے نکاح جائز ہے . اور میری شدید خواہش ہے تو اسلام اور شریعت مجھے کیا اجازت دیتی ہے ؟
میں اپنے والد صاحب کی بات نہیں مان سکتی ، کیوں کے میں اس سے ہی شادی کرنا چاہتی ہوں . آپ سے گزارش ہے کہ میرے حق میں فیصلہ دیں . نماز کی تو میں خود گواه ہوں . ۲ سال میں کئ بار میں نے ان کو نماز ادا کرتے دیکھا ہے . اور یہ سب رشتہ کی بات چلنے سے پہلے کی بات ہے . یعنی کے یہ جعلی تو نہیں ہو سکتا نا . میری گواہی کو مدِ نظر رکھتے ہوئے آپ لوگ فیصلہ لیں . کیوں کے میں جھوٹ نہیں کہہ رہی . نا ہے اپنا مقصد حاصل کرنے کے لیے یہ سب گواہی دے رہی ہوں . ۲ سال وہ میرا سینیر تھا ، اور ان ۲ سال میرے اور اس کے رشتہ کا کوئی سین نہیں تھا . جیسے ہی رشتہ کی بات چلی تھی میں نے نوکری چهوڑ دی تھی . اور ایک دفعہ جب رشتہ کے لیے میرے گھر والے ان کے گھر گءے تھے تب وہ اور میرے پھوپھا اور میرے مامو ، ان تینوں نے اکهٹے مغرب پڑھی تھی .

Q: I recently received e-mails and other whatsapp messages which claim that some years after Hazrat Husain (radhiyallahu anhu) was killed, the Shia of Kufah came out seeking revenge for his death. Apparently, the leader of these Shias was Sulaimaan bin Surad, and they were named ‘Tawwaaboon’ (the repentant ones). They fought against Ubaidullah bin Ziyaad and most of them, including their leader, Sulaimaan bin Surad, were killed in this battle. The information quoted in these messages has been taken from kitaabs of the Shia. Is this information correct, and is it correct to quote from the kitaabs of the Shia?
