Marrying a Shia

Q: I have recently been in a difficult situation to figure out if a marriage between a Sunni girl and Shia guy is allowable?

I have done a lot of research on this and on each other’s aqaid please enlighten me with your knowledge.

A: Shiahs and Muslims are poles apart. They believe that the Qur’aan Shareef has been distorted. Similarly, they also believe that the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu anhum) had turned apostate, Allah forbid. The one who believes in this is obviously a kaafir. Hence, it is not permissible to marry a shia.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
