Q: I am very troubled. My husband's Iman is already weak. Once a month we travel to Johannesburg so that I can visit my parents. My husband's parents have a flat here in jhb so we stay there. I have noticed now that in the flat that was furnished buy our in-laws that there is a frame with "Assalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatu" writtn in arabic. Its hanging in our kitchen. The thing is the kitchen and lounge is all in one, like its bascially 1 room. And my husband watches tv in the lounge. So basically the frame is exposed to the tv and the frame obviously has Allahs name on it. Its not my flat so I can't remove it. And A am afraid to tell my husband incase he says im just being parinode and wont listen. Which would be worse because now I think he doesn't notice. What should I do?

Ulama' appearing on TV

Q: While I read your ruling on Digital photography, maulana of almost all sects like Deobandi, Barelvi, Gair Muqallid, Shia or Ahle Sunnat Waljamat are getting their speeches and are aired on TV or You Tube etc. Maulana Tariq Jameel and Maulana Saad are the prominent Deobandi maslak Maulanas in this respect. Are they indulging in Haraam? Shall we not watch them?

Interviewing women on television

Q: You may have heard of brother Mu'adh Khan from UK (aka Colonel). He has connection with Deobandi Ulama and is mostly well regarded. His latest idea or fad (call it what you will) is to do a TV Documentary on Deobandis in light of the media attack on Deobandis in the UK. He says he needs to do something for the Ummah right now and has requested sisters to come forward who wish to speak on camera. On his Twitter account he is moaning to Muftis that he can't get hold of any women for the documentary. Surely a TV programme involving at least the voice and possibly the face of a ghayr mahram is impermissible or am I missing some Fiqh that the self-styled scholar has tapped in to? Is this not a case of using batil means to spread the Haq?

Ulma to har gunah se bachtay he wo ye kesy kar skty?

2. Aaj kal ghar walay jo aik dusray se door hotay he video call karty hn ak dusray ko apni picture bhejtay hn kia ye jaiz he?

3. Aagr picture ya video sirf mobile ma rahy dhulwayen na to bhi gunah he agar nahi to phir TV pa jo videos, pictures ati hn wo kesy gunah h.

4. Kia har tarah ki jandaron ki pics , sketches or jo cartoons hn or whatsapp waghera ma smiles or stikers cartoon jesy wo bhi gunaah he?

Sorry mera maqsad ap ko pareshan karna nahi h ma sirf apni islah k liye poochti hun plz meray sab sawalon ke jawab dijiye ga.

Selling a TV

Q: I would like to know the masala regarding the selling of a television. One no longer has the use of a TV and wishes to sell it. Please advise as to which avenues that wealth could be spent in e.g. sadaqah etc?

Please bata dain is ki kiya tabeer hai. Main abi pregnant hoo. Kiya yeh mery liye kisi khatry ki taraf ishara hai?
