Seeing Allah Ta'ala in a dream

Q: I'm suffering from waswasas. So a question came into my mind, are dreams a creation of Allah? When someone sees Allah in a dream, does this mean that Allah is really in his dream? I think that dreams are also a creation and Allah does not occupy his creation. And whenever we see someone in a dream, that person is not actually in his dream.

A: In this world it is not possible for a person to see Allah Ta'ala. Seeing Allah Ta'ala in a dream does not mean that one has seen Allah Ta'ala. Rather he has seen a reflection of the glory and majesty of Allah Ta'ala. Like a person sees the reflection of the sun in a mirror. If such a person says "I have seen the sun", it will not be wrong, though he had not seen the sun itself. This is similar to how a person says "You will see the excellence of the teacher in his student". This is something figurative and will not be regarded as wrong.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
