Q: Is giving haraam money (riba) to someone else haraam? And is it haram to receive the haraam money that someone gave him?
A: Dealing in riba is haraam. It is mentioned in the Hadith that Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had cursed the one who consumes interest, pays interest, the scribe for the interest bearing deal and the witness to such a deal. If one has acquired interest, then he should immediately dispose of it through giving it to the poor in charity without the intention of receiving any reward.
