Is feeding people sadaqah?

Q:

1. Is it ok to order a daig of rice with chicken and peas and give it as sadaqa?

2. Who deserves to eat this sadaqa?

A:

1. It is permissible.

2. The needy people.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
