Purchasing from a person who did not yet taken possession of the item

Q: Is it permissible to buy an item from a kaafir who has not yet taken possession of the item? Further if a Muslim sells an item which he has not taken poseession of, will it be permissible?

A: According to the shariah, it is only permissible to sell an item after taking possession.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
