Remaining covered when being intimate with one's spouse

Q: I am married for 13 years but I am not sure how to perform the wifes needs in bed according to Islam. I have been doing it fully naked inside the blanket or covered by a sheet and looking at each other. Is this allowed?

A:  Yes, though it is not the best thing to look at the private areas.
