Q: I work with people who are not Muslim. One day they organized food and they said that it’s from a Muslim person. Do I go ahead and eat it or am I not allowed to trust them? Will the sin be on me if it’s not really halaal?
A: Precaution requires that you find out who the Muslim is from whom they got it. If the person seems to be reliable and he confirms that he prepared the meal then you may eat.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
