Q: When a person passes away, whilst awaiting the burial committee, that means before the Ghusl is performed, can a person read Surah Yaseen or Quraan etc. by the body?
A: If the ghusal has not yet been given to the deceased, then reciting Quraan near the deceased is not permissible as the body of the deceased is regarded as impure. Only after the ghusal is given can Quraan be recited near the deceased.
