Selling tights to women

Q: Is it allowed to sell women’s clothing like tights. Many women wear these under abaya’s, in their homes, or for women only fitness classes. However, I wanted to know if it’s fine to sell these.

A: Wearing these types of tight fitting clothing is against the Islamic culture and against modesty. This is part of the kuffaar culture. Wearing these types of clothing even in front of other women (e.g. in fitness classes) is not right as the entire shape of the body is exposed before others. Islam attaches great importance and significance to upholding hayaa and modesty at all times in one's clothing and actions.

By you selling these types of clothing to women, you will be promoting the kuffaar culture of immodesty, which is against the teachings of Islam.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
