Women leaving the home to work

Q: I want to know if my husband gives me permission to work outside is it ok? I wear complete hijab except for face. Also I have to speak to my manager sometimes regarding work who is a male. My office has many female co workers and I am very professional with everyone. I don't joke or smile at men. Is it fine for me to work is such conditions. Also I want to ask the money I earn, my husband wants to manage it. He fullfils all my needs but also gives my money to people in need. If I am not willing is he allowed to do so?

Women going to halls

Q: I have been invited to a “Walima” of a close family relative. The event will be in a hall with a screen to separate men and women. The bride will be on a stage and the bridegroom will (after the nikaah) change into a suit and go to the bride to put the ring on her finger and exchange jewellery. There will also be a lot of non-Muslims attending as well and I expect that women will be inappropriately dressed. It is claimed that there will be no photographs but I suspect that this will be difficult to enforce and control. My son has been requested to recite Qur'an at this function. My questions are:

1. Is it permissible to attend such a gathering?

2. Is it permissible for my son to recite Qur'an here?

My obvious concern is about breaking family ties should I not attend. Please advise.

Women going to universities

Q: I am going to university, boys and girls both are coming there. Actually I am wearing burqa and I want to cover my face. But because of long time like 7 hours, it seems difficult for me. In that case can I open my face only? May I open my face at lunch time in the canteen? I am taking my lunch with girls only.

Going out to purchase something with another woman

Q:

1. Can a I ask a Muslim woman who usually does not wear burqa while going out to accompany me to go nearby shops to buy necessary house hold items? Please note that I wear burqa and cover up myself while going out and there is no male in our house to buy things so we have to ask some neighbour ladies to accompany us for shopping and all.

2. Our relative lady knows driving can we go with her in their car to buy things? Please note that she doesn't wear burqa and drives the car.

3. If a woman drives car wearing burqa but face is uncovered can we go with her somewhere?
