Q: I would like to expiate 2 oaths.
I would like to know if I give 2 peanut butter sandwiches to 10 people each, if that counts as expiation.
I used to eat 2 peanut butter sandwiches everyday as a student and also at work. I find it to be quite filling. I am a student and this is what I would occasionally or sometimes everyday feed myself. I don't eat peanut butter and bread anymore as I am on a diet.
Please let me know if 2 peanut butter sandwiches for 10 people each is sufficient to expiate one oath.
Q: Is it obligatory upon children to complete late parents vows?
For example if someone vows to fast for 10 days and then doesn't do it and passes away. Can we give kaffara instead of completing the fasts because the children can't fast. What's the kaffara in this case?
Q: According to Hanafi jurisprudence, if someone swears to always perform their prayers standing, but later becomes very old and no longer has the strength to stand, would sitting during prayer break their oath?
Q: I made oaths like reciting a certain prayer every night or performing missed (qaza) prayers after each obligatory prayer. If these oaths are broken every time I fail to fulfill them, it seems impossible for me to pay all their expiations. No matter how careful I try to be, there will always be oaths that end up being broken. I feel so helpless. I ask Allah for forgiveness, but there’s nothing more I can do. I try to pay expiations, but it feels like an ant carrying water to extinguish a fire. In this situation, is there no way for me to attain Allah's forgiveness? Please, give me some guidance.
Q: If someone made a vow to not do a sin and that if he did the sin from start to finish he would give in charity R100. For each time he did it he would give R100 and if he did the sin multiple times, he'll give R100 for the 1st time. Will he have to pay another R100 for every time after that or not since the vow had been broken. Will the charity be necessary for every time after the 1st time?
Q: Is the debt of expiation for breaking an oath considered a human right? If someone tries to pay their expiation debts but passes away without being able to do so, and this person is martyred, will our Allah forgive this person's expiation debts?
Q: If some swears by saying "I swear I would not swear throughout my life after today". Suppose he swears more than once after this in the coming days. Will he have to pay kaffara one time or multiple times?
Q: A person took an oath.
After a while he said the oath will end in 1 week. After the 1 week has passed will the oath be valid?
Q: I remember that I did not make any vow or verbally utter any vow to read 8 rakaat shukriya nafil namaz. Only a thought came and I read. Still, that thought is confusing me that it was a vow and I am getting scared of those thoughts. I am getting thoughts that I made vow verbally, but I don't remember making a vow verbally. I am confused whether it was verbally or not.
