Q: What is the Islamic perspective on modelling, photography and photoshoots in Islam? Is it haraam or is it permissible for a male or female to earn a living as a model and appear in fashion shows?

Q: If a person rents a house and during the time he occupied the premises,  he added fittings in the house that were not provided by the owner of the house (for example fitting burglar bars, lighting, etc,)

1. Can he demand the cost of the fittings from the owner at the time he leaves the place?

2. If the landlord refuses to give him the cost of the fittings he put into the house, can he remove the fittings when he leaves the house?

Q: Can I make a career in graphic designing or animation. Because we create cartoons or living object by software and not our hands and it's a matter of career so then how can we make a career in it. Our aim is to our job or career not for hobby or fun.

Q: I want to start a par time business. But prior starting I want to make sure what I am going to is Halaal. I am planning to Open a Sports Club, Mainly Snooker with no betting / gambling allowed and prohibited. In this situation if this is a fair business? As Snooker is becoming a international Game and Pakistan have Won world championship , so I want to promote this decent game. Please guide me and give your suggestion.

Q: Is it permissible for me to pursue a career in graphic designing?

Q: Is it permissible to work in a cigarette factory?

Q: Is it permissible to do work repairing catering equipment, keeping in mind that such equipment may be used for non-halaal items (pork, alcohol, etc.)? Would the income generated from such work be halaal?

Q: For a male, is the work of a hand/foot photo shoot model permissible? For example: One will wear a watch of a certain brand. Pictures will be taken of the hand with the watch. Those pictures will then be used for advertising on billboards, in magazines etc. The same with a shoe, for example. There will be no animate images. Payment will be made per photo shoot. It will be an amount decided beforehand acceptable to both parties.

Q: Is it permissible for a carpenter to manufacture and install a bar for a non Muslim client knowing full well that it is going to be used to serve alcohol?

Q: I have a few questions relating to the same matter.

1. Is it permissible to work for a company where the work is halaal, but the logo of the company is in the form of a human being or animal?

2. Will his wages be halaal if he works for this company?

3. If his payslips have this logo on them, does this affect his wages?

4. If he has to where uniform which has this logo of an animate being on it, does this affect his wages?

5. Finally, what if he has to carry boxes that have this logo on it or go into the back of trucks to load or unload while the truck has this logo on it etc?
