Q: Is it permissible to acquire a rent to own car from a dealership?
Q: I would like to know what is the ruling with regards to the following situation:
I have a flat which I let out. My tenant decided to move to another premises and gave me notice on the first of December for end of December. He paid rental for December already.
I clearly told him that kindly return my flat to me in the same condition which I gave it to you.
He said that we must do the repairs etc. and deduct it off the holding deposit which we have of his. We informed him that we are unable to repair the flat , because it is December and no one is around to work or supervise!
The tenant moved out of the flat during December, however left one of his cars parked at the premises and also some goods of his still in the flat as well as he’s ac. He didn’t handover the keys to myself, however he did give one key to the caretaker.
Fast forward to second of January, I’ve contacted him to remove he’s items and car And because of his items being in the flat and also being December and him not handing over the full set of keys to me, I was unable to repair and let out the flat to someone else.
Should the tenant be liable to pay rent for January? As he only removed the balance of his items and handed over the keys to me in January and after I called him. And we are only able to do repairs to the flat now and let out for for February
Q: I wanted to know if its permissible to rent an apartment and sub rent the same apartment to third party.
Q: According to sharia, using ijab and qabul contract of purchase, can the seller collect rental from purchaser if the amount is not fully paid, and if the purchaser has delayed payment by unforseen circumstances, must the purchaser pay rent?
Q: My question is, "The tenants of mosque shops are not ready to pay rent at the current prevailing market rates. Their argument is that they have been leasing these properties for generations. I am seeking a fatwa as a solution to this matter. The shops were initially under an agreement process. Please advise."
Q: I have a tenant who is renting from me and he has game machines in his shop which people put money into it to play. Now my tenant wants to put a slot machine where a player puts money inside and the player then wins money from the machine.
Is it permissible for me to allow the tenant to put such a machine in the shop?
Q: I wanted to ask if it is permissible for one to lease out a shop to a non-Muslim who wants to sell fireworks for November, December and January. He then wants to continue selling furniture.
Q: Can I, as a landlord, permit my tenant (Muslim & / or non-Muslim) to sell fireworks?
Q: If I invest with following conditions with a company then is it permissible in Islam:- I buy 2 square feet of an apartment from a company in 3 lacs (apartment is part of a building which is not constructed yet however as assured by the company; its area has been bought, plans etc approved from UAE government as well, work to be started soon). Ownership of 2 square feet is given to me. I give this area on rent to the same company with mutual agreement. The rent is fixed at 48 thousands.
Q: I have noticed a few travel agents advertising Umrah packages with such and such hotel, and the words "or similar", next to that. The price is then stated below.
In a recent incident, a package was booked for and paid for about 50 days prior to departure. At the time of booking, it was confirmed that the hotels stated on the advert were available. About ten days prior to departure, the agent sent out a travel voucher for a different hotel (this was supposedly one of the "similar hotels"). The reason given was that the hotel advertised initially was not available or fully booked. However, on arrival in Madinah Munawwarah, the agent then informed that the hotel was changed again.
In some cases, some travelers were told by the agent that they would be staying one night in a certain hotel and thereafter moving to another hotel for the rest of the stay. (This changing of hotels for one night has happened with more than one agent) None of these hotels were mentioned or spoken about before departure.
In another instance, after payment, the agent advised that the airline changed the flight and hence the 12 night package now became an 11 night package.
Is this type of advertising permissible? Is this type of transaction permissible?
