Advertising via the Internet or other ways

Earning through Google adsense

Q: I am running my youtube channel and educational website and both are associated with google adsense. So kindly suggest me that the income that i am getting from google adsense partnership program is halal or haram. Kindly explain for both website and youtube channel. I am not involved in any video ads on youtube.

Google ads

Q: I have a job advertisement website on which I post job offers, people looking for employment, etc. I now want to apply to have Google Ads on my site as I will earn money through these ads. Is this permissible?

Reviewing videos on YouTube

Q: I want to make videos on YouTube in which I review children’s toys. My face will not be visible in the video. All you will see in the video is my hands and the toy. The toys will mostly be play dough, animal figures and human figures. Please advise if this is permissible.

Using Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for business

Q: I have set up Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts for my company. I have installed both ‘image-blocking’ and ‘advert-blocking’ software on my internet browser that blocks all images and adverts which may appear on any site – but specifically for Twitter, Facebook, etc. Furthermore, my Twitter and Facebook accounts are linked – meaning that whatever I post on one site, will automatically appear on the other. I can do this for Instagram as well. Hence, my interaction with these sites will be kept to the minimum. I have set up these social media accounts for general marketing purposes and interacting with customers, etc. As the business is an online one with probably all the customers being international, this manner of interaction/advertising is probably most suitable for the technological nature of the company. In light of these precautions, can I make use of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for this express, business purpose?

Using "0% commission" catch line

Q: Will it be correct to use a marketing "catch line" that is not applicable to that type of trade e.g. a person selling motor vehicles that he owns or a company selling foreign currency that it owns, markets the sale of these products as a "zero percent commission" sale when in fact commission is not applicable in this sale as there is no agency involved. This however creates the impression of an excellent deal psychologically.

Ads on free websites

Q: I have a medical website hosted for free by a company called WordPress. Occasionally, they will place an advert on my website at their discretion. The content and image of the advertisement could be for anything, i.e: advertising insurance, a vehicle, a gambling website, a holiday cruise etc. Often an animate object is included. These adverts will often link to the respective website. I have no control over these adverts that appear occasionally nor its sometimes haraam content. - Is it necessary to change to another web-host company that does not do this, or pay a fee for the Wordpress 'No-Ads Upgrade'?
