Q: I have something to ask. I have been talking to this nice gentleman. He is a Muslim and so am I. My parents found out I was talking to him. I was afraid to tell my parents because I'm Sunni and he's a Shia but when we die aren't we all Muslims Sunni or Shia it doesn't matter right? So my parents told me that he can come in 6 weeks time to get me and him engaged so we can talk with them knowing the man said that's fine yes but in his past he did bad things. When he was 14 he stole a car and he has records from the police. My parents want to do a police check on him but he has been doing very good. He's 18 now mashallah turning 19 and I am 17 turning 18 and I don't know what to tell my parents because we both love each other very much alhamdulilah and we want to have a future together. He has repented from his mistakes, he was young and stupid. But don't we all humans make mistakes and then learn from our mistakes? Therefore he's human and so am I. We made bad choices in the past so should it matter how he has police records? Because he's a changed man now and I want my family to accept him. What should I do I really need help thank you!

Q: I hope you can help with this question. I am a revert Muslim, I was previously married. When I was a Christian even back then my marriage with my Christian husband is in trouble, we have a very rocky marriage. When I accepted Islam, I tried to talk to him about Islam. At first he seemed to be ok with my new religion but as the years go by he demonstrated so much hate with my religion, he does not want me to practice my religious rites and beliefs and demanded me to return back to Christianity to which I object. I ask him for a separation since then which he accepts but lately when I contacted him for my wish to have an annulment. He suddenly objected to it. I wanted to marry a very good Muslim man who proposed to me because I see this man to be lawful and obedient to Islamic law. My question is am I allowed to marry this Muslim man according to Sharia law? I have read so many articles regarding this. I am confused. My Ex-husband is preventing me to practise Islam and even called my religion as devil. I don't want to be with him anymore because of this issue and many more. What is the Sharia ruling on this? I hope you can guide me.

Q: If some Muslim enters into a nikaah contract being intoxicated in the presence of two sober Muslim male witnesses, will the nikaah contract be valid or invalid?

Q: I did nikah with a woman few days before. The very next day from someone outside I find out that my wife had physical relationship out of marriage with a man for 3 years. I went home and asked her straight and she confessed that she had physical relationship with him so much so that they had done kissing all over, seen each other naked and touched each other's private parts (masturbated each other) but she made promise on Allah that they did not have intercourse. I can't believe that they did not do intercourse, even if they did not do intercourse how a husband is supposed to forgive all this? If I leave her the 25 years of relationship of two families will be destroyed. But I can't forgive her. I try to forgive her but whenever I see her I imagine the two of them having doing zina and that is unbearable for me. Help me what I'm supposed to do. Even if I forgive her how can I cope with my imagination?
