Salaam & Greeting

Q:

- حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ المُبَارَكِ، وَهِقْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: «حَذْفُ السَّلَامِ سُنَّةٌ» قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ: وَقَالَ ابْنُ المُبَارَكِ: " يَعْنِي: أَنْ لَا تَمُدَّهُ مَدًّا «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَسْتَحِبُّهُ أَهْلُ العِلْمِ» الترمذي حذف السلام: الإسراع به التلخيص الحبير وَفِيهِ «حَذْفُ السَّلَامِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ سُنَّة» هُوَ تَخْفِيفُهُ وتَرْك الْإِطَالَةِ فِيهِ. النهاية

Would saying the salam slowly and not quickly be contrary to the sunnah

Q: How should we greet and reply  to the greetings of the La Mazhabis?

Q: If somebody writes only "Salam" instead of "Assalamu Alaikum". Is it ok for both, to be written and to be said?

Q: I have seen many people that when their feet touch someone else, they make salaam to him. They touch the person and touch their own hearts and then touch their own mouths. Is there any basis for it and should it be done?

Q: Can siblings kiss each other just on forehead or cheeks, can I hug my sisters? We three met after 17 years.

Q: Is it allowed in Islam to say Assalaamu 'alaikum to any non Muslim?

Q: The Fuqaha have mentioned that at the time of tilawaat, azaan and eating, if salaam is made to a person then the salaam does not have to be returned. What is the hukam if a person returns the salaam at these times? Is there karaaha in a person doing so or will it be permissible to reply although the salaam does not have to be returned?

Q: What is the shari' ruling on replying to the salaam at the time of azaan, at the time of eating and when reading Quraan Shareef? 

Q: A known person to me sometimes greet me as Assamualekum without la in it, clearly. Sometimes I reply to him in forgetfulness Walekum assalam, instead of Walekum. Then I realize that, and don't know what to read as a counteract to that. Could you please tell me what to do at that times?

Q: Is it permissible for a Muslim to greet a non Muslim with the words na maste etc?
