Giving a stray cat to someone to look after

Q: If I find any stray cat, I don't know if the cat belongs to anyone. There is no belt or collar or anything. I tried to look if anybody is searching for his cat.

If it seems that nobody is claiming it or somebody has intentionally left it, can I take it and give it to someone who will take care of it? The cat will not be able to get food and survive well on its own on streets.

Advising a neighbour who abuses a cat

Q: My neighbor brought a cat from somewhere. But they did not feed the cat properly. So my mother gives food to the cat. The children of the family abuses the cat to the point that the cat may die any time if it stays in that house. So can I take the cat from them and give it to someone else without their permission? They throw the cat here and there and hold it by its neck. The cat will not survive if kept with them.

Muslim vet treating pigs

Q: I've recently encountered a vet who works with pigs. I've tried to encourage her that pigs are impure animals but she claims we not allowed to consume or touch its carcus which to my knowledge is correct but my question is, Can we as Muslims touch and love pigs like how the kufr do?

Euthanasia for an old dog

Q: A dog is in its old age, and is also very sick. Due to this sickness, the dog groans and cries in immense pain. He struggles to walk so he lives on pain meds. The owners love the dog, he is no trouble at all.

Is it permissible to put him down (euthanasia) due to his ongoing suffering?
