Recitation and Listening to the Quraan

Reciting Qur'an while driving

Q: I read in seeratun Nabi that the worst person is he who reads the Quran without attention. I usually read three paras a day whilst driving, but most of the time my attention deviates. Should I read less and try to focus more? Will I be punished rather than receive reward for all the recitation without attention?

Making dua while reciting the Qur'an

Q: Whilst reading Qur'an, if a person knows Arabic and comes across an ayat where there's a command to glorify Allah or seek refuge with Him, and the person makes dua accordingly, do they have to recite ta'awwuz again before they resume the tilawat? Would the rulings be different if they made the dua in a language other than Arabic?

Reciting Qur'an to impress people

Q: Alhamdulillah and thanks to Allah for all his blessings amongst us. Alhamdulillah who favoured me over many other creations by blessing me with a melodious voice and gave me a wealthy life. My question is that once in my class at school our teacher told us that those who read the Qur'an with nice voices with the intention to please people and impress them with his voice is one of the people of hell and that actually shocked me and kept a "waswasa" in me whenever I'm reading Qur'an in front of the school or my class mates so I don't participate in such activities much anymore. What should I do because I totally doubt that my intention is pure.

How to recite those verses of the Quran which have no harkat at the beginning

Q: What is the ruling for reciting those verses of the Qur'an which have no harkat at the very first hurf? E.g verse no.5 of surah al ma'oon. What is the ruling to start reciting this ayat with 'zabar' on alif if we stop at the previous ayat? Likewise we start some ayaats with 'zair' harkat on the first hurf if we don't find any harkat at the first hurf. e.g verse no. 28 of surah al'fajr'.
