Recitation and Listening to the Quraan

Q: Can you recite the Qur'an from memory or listen to the Qur'an while you are doing some work or playing? Can you listen to the Qur'an while you are driving or cleaning?

Q: What is the ruling for reciting those verses of the Qur'an which have no harkat at the very first hurf? E.g verse no.5 of surah al ma'oon. What is the ruling to start reciting this ayat with 'zabar' on alif if we stop at the previous ayat? Likewise we start some ayaats with 'zair' harkat on the first hurf if we don't find any harkat at the first hurf. e.g verse no. 28 of surah al'fajr'.

Q: Can I recite the verse of the Quran while walking down the streets? Note that I have not done ablution.

Q: My question is that when I'm just going through the streets can I recite the verses of the Quran if I do not have wudhu?

Q: I was reading the Quran at zawaal time about half an hour before Zohar time. Someone told me to stop praying because we are not allowed to pray at that time, is this correct? I thought just sajda was forbidden. Are we allowed to read Quran before sunrise?

Q: A friend of mine is unsure whether you can recite the Qur'an during haidh as the teacher who takes her for hifz says it is permissible. My friend wants proofs/authenticity regarding it not being permissible.

Q: Whilst busy with work or secular studies at home, may I listen to the following audio recordings as a 'background'? 1. Recitation of the Qur'an Shareef. 2. Recording of a Zikr majlis. 3. A Bayaan. 4. A single nazm occasionally (like twice a week).

Q: Why is it that whenever I listen to the Quran, the reciter always pauses at places where there is no sign of pause found in the Mushaf and they also go back to repeat it and finish the verse? How do you know when you can stop in the middle of a verse even if it doesn't have a sign of pause?

Q: In our school assembly while a boy recites Qur'an children repeat after him. Is it correct? The student and the other students fold their hands as we do in salaah in the assembly. Is this correct? Folding hands and reciting.

Q: Is it permissible to stand or walk whilst reading Quran with the intention of spreading it throughout the home?
