Using words of greatness and majesty when speaking of Allah Ta'ala
Q: Is it permissible to say that Allah is Good? Does it appear in the Quran?
Q: Is it permissible to say that Allah is Good? Does it appear in the Quran?
Q: I read this Hadith:
“O Allaah’s Messenger! Where was our Lord before He created the heavens and earth?” He (salallaahu `alaihi wasallam) responded: “He was above the [white] clouds – no air was under him, no air was above him, and He created His Throne upon the water.”
Is it correct that we don’t have to take the first part (He was above the (white) clouds) literally because attributing a direction to Allah is kufr?
Q: Is it correct that Allah’s actions like blessing have the same attributes as that of Allah?
Also I read somewhere that the acts brought about by Allah are without displacement or movement. What does that mean?
Q: I believe in all of Allah’s names and attributes, I accept he is the one and only, none other deserves to be worshipped, if you do worship besides Allah such as a hindu God or do grave worship, you are not a Muslim, rather the contrary, first of all, I believe nothing is like Allah, he is incomparable, but my question is essentially, Allah knows everything we know, so does that mean there is a similarity?, Allah’s knowledge is unlimited and there are no mistakes, but ours is the opposite.
Also, another similar question, the Quran is Allah’s speech, his attribute, so is that incomparable as well, doesn’t that share similarity with other Arabic books, they may use the same words for instance, so a similarity, is it not?
I asked it on a forum last year, these same questions, a brother said, Allah knows what we know, but his knowledge is unlimited and is always right, ours is limited and we can make mistakes, so we share some things but overall, they are dissimilar, incomparable, he also said the same for my second question. Essentially, Allah’s words are incomparable overall, very dissimilar, but they share somethings with other books. He said something along the lines of that. I’m not sure what is right, hence why I’m asking this question.
Q: What are the beliefs of the Ahlus Sunnah regarding the attributes of Allah Ta'ala? Are all the sifaat of Allah Ta'ala infinite?
Q: Kindly explain what is meant when Allah Ta'ala states that He remembers us when we remember Him. Because Allah can never forget about us, or be unaware of anything that we do. Is this remembrance referring to a special type of mercy from Allah Ta'ala, when we remember Him whether alone or in a gathering?
Q: Some pleople say, "If Allah didn't create Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), nothing of the universe would created" is it correct ?
Q: Is magic created by Allah?
Q: Is respect an attribute of Allah Ta'ala? I mean on a sense that has Allah Ta'ala respectfully addressed the prophets and does Allah Ta'ala have respect for the prophets.
Q: When Hazrat Asiya said 'my Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise', what does this exactly mean? Does it mean being physically close to Allah?
