Reciting the takbeeer from Surah Duha till the end when completing the Quraan
Q: Is there anything special to read after each surah, when making a khatam, when one comes to surah Duha?

Q: My in laws have a culture of performing Quraan khatam once a year for the deceased by having someone or a group reading Quraan and send esaale sawaab to the deceased father or Muslim family members. There is also intermingling of opposite sexes at the event. Cooking etc. and feeding the guests.
My question is, are all those efforts counted in the court of Allah, such as Quran tilwawat, dua for the deceased etc., whilst there is no pardah between the opposite sexes, intermingling etc. at those gatherings?
Q: I am not understanding how it is permissible to read a para only once but make intention for different khatams (eg. my own personal one, someones mayyit, for my group.) How can I read the para only once but its for two or three different khatams ?
Q: I’ve recently received a message saying that Quraan reading groups are not permissible in Islaam.
About 2 years ago I asked a few of my female relatives and friends if they’d like to join me in a Quraan group. We each get 2 weeks to read a para. If someone cannot manage that week we wait for them or assist them. If people find that they no longer want to be on the group they are welcome to enter and leave freely. This is purely administrated in Whatsapp and not together in person.
We have all come together with the sole purpose of reading Quraan more regularly for the pleasure of Allah and nothing else. The group acts more as a reminder to read Quraan and not forcing people to read as it is entirely up to each member.
As the group started many members found it helpful as the reminders assisted them in making time in their daily lives where as some people had previously not read Quraan throughout the year except for Ramadaan.
Being part of the group has helped me and many others form love for reading Quraan regularly.
Please advise if it will be possible for us to continue reading our para every 2 weeks as a group with these reminders. If we need to make any changes to how we run the group then that can be done إن شاء الله Our intention is solely for the pleasure of Allah.
Q: What is the best way to celebrate the khatam of Hifdhul Quraan? Should it be a big affair or must it be kept to the minimum? Is it virtous to be feeding the guests in honour of the occassion?
Q: My question is regarding khatams and niaz etc in the name of the Prophet Salallahu-Alaihi-Wasalam and saints like Hazrath Ghous Paak etc - Is this practise Islamically correct or is it considered bidaah?
Q: Recently a member of my family created a group called Quraan daily. In the group, a person would take a parah and read it. By doing this we would finish a khatm. Not as in a valid khatm but a Quraan finished by everyone that participated. I want to know if this is allowed in the Quraan or sunnah or if it goes against the shariah?
Q: I was recently asked to join a group on whatsapp with 29 other people, where they would make a Quraan khatam every two weeks. Each person would be given a para to read within 2 weeks. Every two weeks a khatam would be made with the intention of each person getting reward.
Q: We are making khatamul Quraan every month in a group. Each person recites one juz, and the following month he will recite the next juz and so on. We do not consider it to be sunnah, rather we are doing it just to engage family and friends in reading Quraan. Is it permissible?
Q: Recently few messages have been going around regarding Quran Khatam groups and its authentication, I would like to know if:
1. Is it permissible to join a quran khatam group?
2. Is it permissible to have time limits to complete the khatam?
3. Can you join the group with the intention of making sure that you are completing at least 1 para a week even if the group was created with the intention of esaale sawaab of marhoomeen?
