Q: Recently, I heard in a sermon that it is not permissible for us, Muslims to wear rings made of stone or some other material or taweez with the belief that it will avoid harm and it will give us the blessings and barakah. In my locality most of the imams follow the trend of wearing such rings or taweez. Is it permissible for me to do namaz behind them?

Q: Is taweez allowed in Islam what does the Hadith say about it?

Q: I visited one aamil for my personal problem. He gave one small paper contain Arabic numbers in it and asked me to keep it under a heavy stone. Also he gave asmaaul husna to recite for 21 days. Is it taweez? Is it permissible in Islam?

Q: If the Imaam writes the taweezes outside the musjid, then a person can pray salaah with him? Is his salaah valid or not?

1. Is taweez (wearing along neck or arm giving by anybody and writing something on it) permissible? If someone believes in it that it can help him and he dies, does it lead to shirk?

2. Can we pray behind a Imam who wears these types of taweez and believes in it?

Q: I need help as I have been affected by sihr. Alhamdulillah Allah has helped me through some very difficult times in my life. I heard about ruqya and when I searched and found a group of people in SA who does this but they charge money. Is this genuine and are you allowed to charge money? I am very weary of most people as I believe that they use Jinn to trick people into believing their "healing" powers and it is also detrimental to ones Imaan.

Q: If the Imaam of a musjid writes taweezes and gives people taweezes , then is his salaah valid and is the salaah of those who perform salaah behind him valid?
