Sajda-e-Sahw

Remaining silent during Salaah for such a period where one can recite three "Subhan Allah"

Q: In the Hanafi madhab, if you remain silent (during prayer) for a time period where one can recite "Subhan Allah" 3 times, then it becomes waajib for the person to perform Sajdah Sahw. If, however, the individual did not perform Sajdah Sahw, does he then have to repeat his prayer? What if, in the past, the person did not pay attention to this fact during his prayer, and he now has several prayers where he was required to perform Sajdah Sahw, but he did not do so. Does he have to repeat all those prayers?

Forgetting to make sajda-e-sahw

Q: In Saheeh Muslim there is a hadeeth in the chapter of forgetting in salaah. The hadeeth mentions that after the salaah wherein Rasool (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) performed three rakaats in salaatul Asr, Rasool (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) entered his home and came back out and spoke etc. and then just made sajda sahw.

  1. People now say that if one begins to talk after the salaah wherein sajda sahw supposed to take place, he has to repeat the entire salaah. Please explain.
  2. The hadeeth mentions that Rasool (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) came out angrily. Why did he become angry?
