Q: I have a personal training book that I have to study to become a personal trainer. There is however pictures in the book with females in it showing how to do certain workouts. How should I go about this situation?

Q: I have a husband. Its been a few weeks since we've got married. Alhamdulillah. We both are baaligh so we had our nikaah done with only 2 witnesses. I had a messed up past meaning I was bad before but now Alhamdulillah he's showing me the right path. I told him about my past and that I don't talk with any na mahram anymore. He's being suspicious that I'm up to something behind his back but I'm not. I don't talk to any na mahram now. I don't know what to say to him. Should I sit down, talk to him and explain that I don't talk to anyone? Or what should I do?

Q: A mother (widow) in her life time verbally announced that she is giving her two daughters each a house so the day she passes on she will be assured that her two daughters have a roof over their head. Strangely one brother decided to put the properties into a family trust 20 years ago while the mother was still alive. The mother owned a number of properties and was receiving rent income from most of these properties. The said brother handled her finances for many years. 11 years ago she past on  and the said brother inherited all her properties and kept her monies. The sisters were told that the properties will be transferred to their names over this period. The sisters were paying exorbitant amounts in rates and taxes to this brother. One paid R1250 and the poorer one pay R900 on a monthly bases. Not so long ago this brother decides that the properties should go to the children of his sisters. He made the children sign documents in making them believe that the properties will go to them. It comes to light that he was lying. His first wife's children both girls would get 30% each then he has a second wife of two children were born out of wedlock. This daughter would get a 40% share. Many family members were sent to him, but he is so arrogant and boastful. He is untouchable and no one can do anything to him. He will use all his reach to destroy those that come in his path. Someone now recently told him that his late mother is turning in her grave. His response were that's her problem. She is dead and no one can do him anything. He uses gangsters to scare people who want to testify against him. He bribes building inspectors and erects insecure buildings (Flats). His daughters believe their father is right in doing so and they have cut ties from their family because of this. The sisters have been staying on these properties for 21 years. Please give some reference from the Qur'an so I can forward to this arrogant person's children. He is very sickly. He could go any time. I want to give this persons children the proof of the Qur'an and their punishment if they collaborate with their father.

Q: I work in the medical field. A few months ago from extreme pressure of my family they wanted me to quit my job. My mom said I was overweight and heavy and need to exercise. I told them I would exercise but they said it was not enough. They wanted me to quit my job even though I promised I would, they did not believe me. So, I made a mistake and swore on Allah (Ta'ala) that If I did not reach my goal of proper weight I will quit my job. It is now end of march and I have not reached my goal. I know it was wrong to swear and I should not have done that. I apologised to Allah (Ta'ala). But I cannot quit my job due to financial troubles. Can something be done about this? I was told by someone that breaking a promise means 60 days of fasting or feeding the poor? But someone else told me that is only if it was done by accident and not intentionally. I am getting different answers from many people. Please help.

Q: There are "halaal" bank accounts at conventional banks, who engage in ribaa, and I was wondering if it is allowed to create an account at a conventional bank, which is closer and more convenient when there is an Islamic bank, but further away and with only I think one or two branches where I live. Because even though I would not be getting interest, they will still be benefiting from the money I gave them, via investing it in a permissible way, which helps their business, which is a ribaa bank. Please let me know if it is sinful.

Q: I have daughter in-law who is a revert and following our Deen but she loves her family an they come and visit her. What is the ruling? My daughter doesn't like it.

Q: Is reading books/novels allowed in Islam? If so what type of novels/books are permissible to read? Fictional or non fictional?
