Q: Many people have different opinions about how Aadam (Alayhis Salaam) was forgiven for his mistake which he did while he was in paradise. Some people say he asked for forgiveness on behalf of Prophet Muhammed (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasalam's) name as he remembered that kalima was written on Allah's Arsh. I was reading Quraan with meanings where I came through an Ayat where Allah paak says that he thought some kalimaat to his servant Adam (Alayhis Salaam). " rabbana zalamna anfusana waillam taghfirlana warhamna lanakunnana minal khaasireen ". This is how Aadam (Alayhis Salaam) was forgiven according to Quran. Please let me know the actual way he got forgiveness by Allah Ta'ala. Please it has confused me a lot. Please explain in the light of Quraan and hadith.
